And the sick player, Rudy Gobert, made a big show of how he thought it was all overblown and went around touching all the reporters’ mics on Monday. Nice.

TBH, I would think that there was no malice intended by his actions on Monday.
Especially since certain "news" outlets will blow it all out of proportion.

I’m guessing they are weighing the cost of playing in empty venues now vs. the chance that this will fade in the summer and they could play a delayed conclusion to the season then.

Yeah, Gobert testing positive probably forced them to do this while they weighed their choices for dealing with the rest of the season.

You also have other players likely infected so even an empty stadium, how many can actually be ready to on play.

I’m super bummed that I had tickets to see the Bruins play in San Jose on the 21st, only to find out today that all Sharks games this month will be played without any sort of public allowed into the SAP Center. :(

That sucks. Sorry to hear it. I have a friend who goes to the Big XII tournament every year. This year, he had just gotten into his hotel room when he learned that all but the first games would be played with no fans. I guess his calendar just opened up.

Right, but that can at least be managed. Much easier to deal with a hundred or so players, coaches, trainers, etc. than 20,000 fans.
